On April 12, 2013, a meeting of the Russian-Gn April 12, 2013, a meeting of the Russian-Greek Council for Cooperation and Investment was held in Athens in which the co-chairs of the Joint Russian-Greek Commission for Economic, Industrial, Scientific and Technical Cooperation took part. The Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Maxim Sokolov and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic Dimitris Curculas .

The Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Maxim Sokolov welcomed the participants of the meeting of the Council, saying that today the main emphasis in the development of bilateral trade and economic relations is on innovative and hi-tech areas, expanding investment cooperation, forming research and production links, reaching mutually beneficial projects, both in Russia and in Greece, and in third countries.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic Dimitris Kurkulas stressed that one of the priority goals of the Government of Greece is to use all available opportunities for developing mutually beneficial cooperation with Russia. "There are many opportunities for developing relations between Russia and Greece, our countries have common historical roots and cultural traditions, Greece will use all available opportunities for the further development of good-neighborly relations," Kurkulas said.

The second meeting was in the Hellenic Federation  of Enteprices in  which  the Executive Vice-President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) Alexander Murychev and the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Maxim Sokolov, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic Dimitris Kurkulas, the General Director of the  "Business Meeting of Russia" Olga Akmulina, the Director of CEMTX Company Vladimir Bekish,  , the General Director ofRIZOS Company took part in the round table.
